February

Feb. 1 - If anyone really knows their music we can meet at 7 pm at the Record Bar for Sonic Spectrum Music Trivia ($5/person goes into the pot for a cash prize). It's tough ladies, so let me know if you're up for it and we can get a team together. :) Otherwise we can meet at 10 pm at the Record Bar for a $7 show with Thom Hoskins (singer songwriter); former Buffalo Saints front man, Ben Summers (singer/songwriter); and Trucker.

Feb. 8 - Since it's the week before Valentine's Day, let's make cheesy Valentines for family, friends and special someones complete with paper doilies, glitter, collages - the works. I have some supplies, but bring whatever you have to contribute.

Feb. 15 - I know we've been going to a lot of these, but I couldn't pass this one up...Staged Readings: Dirty Dancing, 7:30 p.m., Westport Flea Market, $5ish

Feb. 22 - Ice Skating in Crown Center from 7-9 pm or as long as we can last and then to Westport for a happy hour drink to get the blood flowing. It's $6 + $3 for skates, unless you're a superstar and have your own, in which showing off in front of us less coordinated is forbidden. If it's horribly cold, which hopefully by the end of February it won't be, I'll come up with something else.

August Mondames

AUGUST MONDAMES!!!!

August 3rd: 6:30pm- Playing in the fountains at Crown Center. Wear your swimsuit or clothes to play in that can get wet! If we are lucky, after we play like girls at CC, we will swim like sophisticated ladies at an awesome rooftop pool just a few blocks away from Crown Center!!! I'll bring beverages ranging from CapriSuns to Sangrias.
August 10th: 6:30pm- $1 Sushi at Friends Sushi on 39th street (it's every Monday). Then we will have a $1 challenge at the local dollar store. I will give everyone $1 and we will have a race to see who can buy the best item for a buck. Categories are likely and details will be revealed during dollar sushi! Maybe we should reverse the order of this?!? Stay tuned!
August 17th: Would anyone be up for a "TuesDAMES" on the 18th instead? The T-Bones play the 18th at 7:05. I thought we could get grass seats which are more fun and only cost $6.00!
August 24th: 7pm-Craft time! A lesson at my place (4170 Eaton) on making super cute mittens out of old sweaters, provided by me. They're easy, original, cheap and they make great gifts! I'll serve snacks. Sweet and salty! Beverages should always be assumed.
August 31st: 7pm There's a free class at the Plaza library about an opera that will be performing in KC in September. I thought it would be fun to go to that and then to the performance in September. Here's a link with more info: http://www.kclibrary.org/event/ease-opera-1
After the class we will go to Cafe Trio's new location at 46th and Main and have a drink on their glorious deck! I think I may be able to pull off a buy one get one free.
